Marco Andreola

Summary: Mr. Andreola has more than two decades of experience in the LNG field. Currently working for Rolls Royce Marine, following the technological and business development of LNG fuelled vessels and LNG supply chain (Europe, Mediterranean and Black Sea areas), tackling this new market and proposing solutions in compliance with the new EU Directives. Mr. Andreola started his career with ENI Group. He progressed as owner representative of LNG carriers projects: world-wide pre-qualification of shipyards; technical and economical simulation of the trading scenario, fleet sizing; transportation cost analysis, contract negotiation, design and construction. Later, he is the project manager for the feasibility phase of the FLNG ENI project. In year 2003, Mr. Andreola joined Saipem Group being in charge of the Offshore LNG Chain Project. In 2005, Mr. Andreola worked for the American Bureau of Shipping, Pacific Division (PRC a& ROK), involved in the consultancy activity for the first series of LNG carriers under construction in PRC, H/Z Shipyard, Shanghai. In 2006, prior to joining Wrtsil as Director, LNG Business Worldwide, Mr. Andreola served as the owner representative for Carboflotta Group, including advisory activities for LNG carriers projects. From 2008 to 2010 Senior Advisior for DNV Italy and Marine Service GmbH for LNG projects. Mr. Andreola has a masters degree (honors) in naval architecture and mechanical engineering from University of Genoa (Italy). Registered naval architect and licensed professional engineer.
